Guiding can be done in various ways. A guide can have a sea of knowledge and know the destination like the back of their hand. But is it enough? Often less is more. It is not advisable to overwhelm a visitor in a new environment.
Events of the past years are not everything; a tour includes both historical context and current events and insight into the daily life of locals. And mainly - the basic building block of tours and trips cannot be neglected either – clean free toilets and good coffee.
What can you expect?
That also depends on who you are. A School group of teenagers whose attention needs to be constantly kept on alert? Or a group of friends who came to relax from everyday worries? Or participants of a professional conference with a specific focus?
Each group needs to be mixed a slightly different cocktail that they will taste and won't have a headache from the next day. I like to learn as much as possible about the group and their interests before the tour. Thanks to that, I can then prepare a tour that fulfills its primary goal – to get to know Brno and its beauties and enjoy the atmosphere during it.
